The last week in April or the first week of May is reserved for Cheer and Song
tryouts. Cheer and Song  have a week of clinics with the  tryouts on the last day of the
week. Cheer clinics are held on the tumbling mat on West Campus and Song Clinics
are held in the dance room on Main Campus with the last day try-outs being held in
the EHS gym on Main Campus.   No previous experience is required, and there are
no set skill level required every year, the skill level of the group trying out is what
determines the requirements for the year. Although being familiar with some of the
following will help newcomers be more prepared. For cheer, strong standing and
running tumbling, flexibility and good toe touches. For song, quad pirouettes,
combinations of foute turns,  single leg hold turn  strong leaps - split leaps.  Incoming
freshman have opportunity to make any squad.  If you can show us talent, desire and
a positive attitude you might just be our next squad member. Our teams practice
typically three days each week with added classes at one of the local gymnastic or
dance facilities, depending on if your interests lie in cheer or song respectively. If you
have an interest in trying out for next year's squad and want more information please
stop by the EHS West Campus Office or email us at ehscheersong@yahoo.com.
We look forward to seeing you next year!
